Decorations are permitted when hiring out an area for exclusive use.  Please let us know what you intend to bring and we will be happy to assist dressing the area.

Children are permitted in the bar until 9pm.  Children who are residents in the hotel are permitted in the bar at all times but should be accompanied by an adult.

Dogs are welcome in the pub. Well behaved dogs are permitted in rooms 1, 2 and 3.  Dogs must not be left unattended in rooms.

The Westgate is a 5-6 minute walk from Winchester Train Station, and a 10 minute walk from Winchester Central Bus Station.   The Pub is located on Winchester’s Park & Ride Bus Route.

Tower Street multi-storey car park is just 150 yards away.  Parking is free overnight from 7pm to 8am, but chargeable at £15 per 24 hours otherwise.  Parking is also available in the Station Car Park.

All rooms are accessed via a steep uneven staircase, our rooms are not suitable for those with mobility issuesThe is no accessible WC in the pub, our bathrooms are accessed via a set of steps to the pub basement.

Bike storage is permitted in our enclosed (uncovered) courtyard when the pub closes at 11pm.  However, there is limited access before 11am on the following day.  Speak to staff when checking in to arrange.

Alcohol & food purchased outside of the venue is not permitted in the bar.  Celebration cakes are permitted with prior agreement.  Hotel guests are allowed to bring their own food or drinks for consumption in-room only.
